Paul Gannon

Paul Gannon is a native of Renvyle where he presently works as Principal Teacher of Eagles Nest National School. By his own admission, Paul is “a teacher by vocation and profession, but an historian at heart”.

Passionate about all things Connemara, but especially sports, Paul is the founder of the Grainne Mhaols LGFA, a former playing member of Renvyle GAA and West Coast United, and a very active playing member of Letterfrack Badminton Club. He is an experienced Coach and Sports Administrator and perceives his role therein as being “primarily developmental”.

Paul served as Connemara View Sports Editor for a number of years and is also a regular contributor to Connemara Community Radio. An advocate of positive mental and physical health and well being, Paul is now an Independent Distributor for LifeVantage. He is also the co-founder of Fostering Sustainability CLG, the not for profit social enterprise focusing on Connemara which administrates this online bookshop.

Pail is married to Collette, and father to Luke and Amy.
