My Great Walk Across Ireland
With the centenary of 1916 fast approaching, Daniel took it into his head to do something different to celebrate this unique event in Irish history, but what would he do?
To celebrate and commemorate the Easter Rebellion and the ongoing struggle for Irish Freedom and the countless Irish men and women who sacrificed their lives for this Cause, he proudly walked across the full length of his own country (on his own). Starting at his front door in Renvyle on the west coast and ending at the brown door of the GPO in Dublin. In this book, he tells the story of all the towns, villages and cities, the bog roads and newly-opened motorways, the famous rivers and landmark bridges he crossed over, the ancient battlefields and historic monuments he encountered along the way and much, much more besides.
